The income tax dept reviews the transactions or malicious financial transactions with the help of a PAN Card. It is a mandatory identity card and banks will not open a bank account without the PAN Card. 

How to Apply for a PAN Card?

A person can apply for a PAN Card by following the online process or offline process. Even, one can make changes and updates to the PAN Card online. The govt has started the online process of making a PAN Card to do the hassle-free process for enrolling the PAN Card. 

Any person can apply from their home for the PAN Card, they have to fill out an application form and pay the fees online for the PAN Card. Documents required for PAN cards can be uploaded online. Online Apply for PAN Card

The people have two platforms to apply for the PAN Card, one is the NSDL portal and the other is the UTIISL portal. People can apply for a PAN Card from any of the websites, both are genuine.

Apply for a PAN Card on the NSDL Portal

1. Open the NSDL portal website and the link is here.
2. Choose the application form for a PAN Card which is Form 49A.
3. You should study the instructions before filling out the application for a PAN Card.
4. Then, write the details in the PAN Card online form such as your name, email ID, Aadhar Card number, etc.
5. Then, see the amount of fee required to apply for the PAN Card online.
6. Use the inbuilt payment gateway to submit the PAN Card application form applying fees online.
7. You will be required to fix the needed documents with the PAN Card form.
8. Scan the documents/pics/certificates and secure them with the PAN Card form.
9. Recheck all the details given by you in the PAN Card form before the submission of the PAN Card form.
10. In the end, submit the PAN Card form.
11. Your application will be verified by the NSDL authority.
12. Upon verification, the association will send the PAN Card within 15 days of submission.

Apply for a PAN Card on the UTIITSL website

1. The web link to fill out the application form for the PAN Card of UTIITSL is here.
2. The people have to fill out the Form 49A for the PAN Card.
3. A person can fill out the PAN application form online by mentioning info like full name, home address, email ID, contact number, etc.
4. The fees will be needed to submit online for the PAN Card form.
5. When the fee is submitted for the PAN Card form, the UTIITSL organization will send the verification on the email ID.
6. Attach those documents that can be submitted online with the PAN Card form.
7. Then submit the PAN Card form.
8. UTIITSL Limited has directed all the applicants to submit the filled form along with the documents and pics to the address of the UTIITSL office. 
9. You should follow the instructions and guidelines while submitting the forms for the PAN Card.
10. UTIITSL Limited will verify the documents for authenticity.
11. They will issue the PAN Card upon verification.
12. The PAN Card hard copy will be sent to your address within 15 days. 

Apply for PAN Card Offline

1. The applicants have to navigate to the weblink of NSDL and save the PAN form from the web portal.
2. Print the Form 49 A and put the info in the PAN Card form.
3. Affix your recent photo in the PAN Card form and do your signature at the end of the form.
4. Then, attach the documents with the PAN Card form.
5. Visit the nearby PAN Card Office and submit the form along with the documents.
6. Pay the fees to the officer for the PAN Card form.
7. The official will give you the PAN application number, that number can be used to track the PAN Card application.
8. The maximum time for a PAN Card to reach your home address is usually 15 days. 

Documents Needed for PAN Card Application Form

A person who wants to apply for a PAN Card should have the following certificates.

1. Identity Proof of the person like an Aadhar Card
2. Address Proof of the person like a Ration Card
3. Date of Birth Proof 10th DMC or Birth Certificate

Application Fee for the PAN Card Application Form

The application form submission fee for the PAN Card all over India is Rs 110 and if a person wants to dispatch the PAN Card to a foreign address, then the application fee will be Rs 1017. 

How to Update PAN Card

1. The person who wants to update the PAN Card should go to the NSDL portal and choose the option to update info on the PAN Card.
2. You have to submit the PAN application fee to update the info on the PAN Card.
3. Also, you have to submit the supporting documents with the updated application form for your PAN Card. Like name change, marriage status, etc.
